HQ ISTANBUL 01

This project was the winner of a invited competition to design a new headquarters for a bank for the staff and management. It was located on the top eight floors of a landmark building in the Istanbul business district.

Design was for a fit out contract to include dealer floors, administration departments, HR, office and bank management as well as a floor for the directors and CEO. One of the intermediate floors had a large double height area facing the forest.

Our approach was to utilise the building unique location and exploit the four facades to house different bank functions. The south and west facades overlooked the Bosphorus and Sultanahmet areas, the east facade faced the business district and the north facade faced the forest in the distance. Therefore each department had fantastic unique views and enabled the staff to easily identify with their area. The large double height area facing the forest was used for relaxing with lounge seating, coffee shop and informal meeting areas. Large trees we installed to enhance the connection to the forest to the north. Light interior colours and relaxing pods were used throughout to increase wellness and to reduce visual clutter. Specialist bespoke artwork was commissioned and located in meeting areas to enhance and personalize the spaces.
